Some areas where twitter can be improved

I thought I should write this article as my little concerns doesn’t seem to be highlighted anywhere else, unlikely to the Briteny Spears issue with twitter. First time when I opened Twitter website I noticed Molly E. Holzschlag’s tiny picture on its homepage (Molly is a well known Web standards advocate whom I follow regularly). Right after that I wanted to find out more about Twitter in detail. It was possible only when I followed the help link at the bottom. I couldn’t see it without scrolling the page down.

I believe there might be many different cases when a person may want to explore this link before signing up. Specially when FAQ section is also clubbed with in it. So why not to place the Help link to a place where the user can access it more easily. May be something like this?

The next issue I noticed only after I started using Twitter. Say I am on the homepage of a person whom I follow. After that when I click on “View all…” to see the people whom he follows. While browsing there, I just lose the point to go back to the main user profile (homepage) again.

I find it completely non-relevant by not giving the access go back to the main user profile, from where he actually landed up. Here a thought that how simple it is to do that.

One more thing I would like to add is to be able to do the multiple delete on the direct messages. Deleting the messages one by one is absolute waste of time, putting a mass delete option should solve this.
