Science and it’s progress from my perspective

Sorry to disappoint my usual visitors who expect a technical writing on this blog. I am turning out to be more like a social person than a technical geek – I guess I should be modifying the section written on this blog’s homepage.

This is something belongs very close to my heart, and something I would always feel proud to post on this blog. I still remember the very first time traveling in an aeroplane looking at the endless clouds outside the window. Can you imagine what I would have thought while looking at that amazing part of nature? I was just remembering the time talking to an old friend of mine over the argument about: “the possibility of a human being reaching into the future”. I was also thinking about the involvement of science in the human life as it does today. I thought about medical science saving life of several people in a day. I also thought about the very advance life proven to be possible only due to progress of science today.
I also thought about one thing, which I would have always put on the first priority to take an initiative as being a scientist. I thought that, can these clouds not be controlled and be separated to rain in regions where they are required to be? Am I not being sensible to give a thought about it or it’s just not possible even when science is talking about finding water on the moon? I am talking about the drinking water for people who stay very close by me. That is the water our science is suspecting to exist a billions of miles away from planet earth. Can I please ask: is it not really a thought I should have given! I may sound weird but I still remember my childhood living in Rajasthan. It was so amazing and rare to see the rain clouds, and when they were seen it used to be like a festival for everyone – especially the farmers who always awaited them!

Today I live in Bangalore – a region of south India that hardly suffered due to the lack of rain. Going back to my home in Rajasthan I get the fear feeling of gloom that it is close a disaster where people will start losing their lives because of no water. Can I just call this whole article to give my message to the people who are controlling the growth of science (may be who are ruling?). Lt it is in the right direction when it is meant for a greater cause – being human!

I wish I was creative and thoughtful being in science domain to contribute something. Definitely it could have been in the same direction as this article meant to be!
