This morning I received an invitation e-mail from BarrierBreak Technologies who is exhibiting a one-day road show on how technology can empower people with disabilities. BarrierBreak claims that, this event should be a platform to share some valuable knowledge which can help people to break the barriers we see today in many domains like infrastructure, education, technology and so on.
I personally believe it is a great initiative taken by an Indian organization which can set a platform for interaction to build up the awareness about the needs and potential of the people with disabilities.
The main objective of the conference will be to create awareness about the accessibility and to build a platform for knowledge sharing. Apart from that, there will also be some sessions on exploring the assistive technology which can empower people with disabilities. I have gone thru and checked about the speakers who will be speaking. They are proficient and experienced enough to make this conference worth attending.
The one day Techshare India 2008 Roadshows will be held at Bangalore on 29th August. In Mumbai it shall take place during October, 2008. You can check more detail on their website barrierbreak.com.

Hey it’s certainly a very good news, India is jumping into accessibility awareness. I wish I were knowing this a little earlier, but I will pass this info to my friends in Bangalore… May be they can attend this conference
